Lexington, Kentucky — May 8, 2018 — Following a successful tour to England for its pro club experience to Liverpool FC, Kentucky Youth Soccer Association is pleased to announce an expanded partnership with WorldStrides Excel to be the exclusive international travel provider for its Olympic Development Program. WorldStrides Excel is the largest and most trusted sports travel provider in the nation.

Coming off a successful slate of soccer tours to Liverpool, England for its 2001 and 2002 ODP boys and girls teams, Kentucky Youth Soccer Association (Kentucky) will continue to provide the once-in-a-lifetime international travel opportunity to its ODP boys and girls teams. Reflecting on his experience from spring 2018, Director of Coaching, Adrian Parrish stated that “the opportunity to train with Liverpool FC Academy staff is an experience our players will never forget. Learning how other soccer cultures train is invaluable in a young player’s development.” Adrian and his team at Kentucky Youth Soccer Association aim to expand that education for its players moving forward. In 2019, Kentucky will expand its international travel program by taking it’s 2002 and 2003 ODP boys and girls teams to Germany for an exclusive behind the scenes experience with Hertha Berlin and Borussia Dortmund. Featuring academy training sessions, friendly matches, guest coaching sessions and other immersive experiences to each club will provide each ODP player with a new worldview of soccer and introduce them to a heightened passion for the game that is reflected throughout German culture.

“We are so excited to expand our relationship with Kentucky Youth Soccer Association. Providing their 2001 and 2002 ODP teams with an exclusive pro club experience will give their players a great new perspective and appreciation for the game of soccer. I look forward to the experience the teams will be provided in 2019 and beyond,” said Eric McAleer, Senior Vice President & General Manager, WorldStrides Excel.
