Copenhagen
Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark, is a modern and charming metropolis that cherishes its history. It’s a captivating, friendly city where your senses can roam and there’s always something wonderful around the corner. Walking the city is easy, with cobbled streets providing an evocative backdrop to a thriving cultural scene, with its art galleries, museums, theatres, and music venues. Europe’s longest pedestrian shopping area, Strøget, winds its way through the inner city, with shops full of world-class Danish design, fashion, and more. Sightseers can wander through the royal castles, the parks, the squares and plazas, and the city’s entertainment district, Nyhavn. At the Tycho Brahe Planetarium, you can experience breathtaking natural phenomenon. A fairy-tale universe unfolds for you at Tivoli Gardens, where amusements, concert performance, and a profusion of flowers await. In the inner harbour, water quality has improved so much in recent years that it is possible to go for a swim from early June to late August in one of the two harbour baths, Copencabana on Vesterbro or Havnebadet at Island Brygge on Amager.

“The team at Excel did a wonderful job of coordinating our Girls ODP Team trip. Our tour guide was professional, courteous and was a wealth of information. From an educational, cultural and sporting standpoint, the trip was first class. Our team enjoyed quality games and the opportunity to socialize with our opponents at the end of the match. The cultural event to Tivoli Park, Frederiksborg Castle and the Viking Museum were great. Excel really made the experience a memory of a lifetime.”
