Beckley, West Virginia — May 7, 2018 — Following a successful tour to Scotland in spring 2018, West Virginia Soccer Association is pleased to announce an expanded partnership with WorldStrides Excel to be the exclusive international travel provider for its Olympic Development Program. WorldStrides Excel is the largest and most trusted sports travel provider in the nation.
Following a successful slate of soccer tours to central Scotland for it’s 2002 and 2003 ODP boys and girls teams, West Virginia Soccer Association (West Virginia) will continue to provide once-in-a-lifetime international travel opportunities to its ODP boys and girls teams. Reflecting on his experience from spring 2018, ODP coach, Brian Shields stated: “WorldStrides did a wonderful job with our first International Trip and we are very excited with the buzz that has been created.” The ODP staff and coaches plan to expand its international travel program for years to come.

After their memorable time with WorldStrides Excel in 2018, West Virginia ODP will take it’s 2003 and 2004 boys and girls teams to Italy for a new experience of international soccer for its players. Given Italy’s rich history and passion for soccer, West Virginia will enjoy friendly matches, training sessions, stadium tours and a professional match to gain a deep understanding of the world’s greatest game.
